Probably the most unique aspect of the Woolly Mammoth is not its large size, shaggy coat, or giant tusks, but its teeth. The Mammoth only had a single tooth in each jaw "four total" with six sets of replacements over its lifetime. If and when the last set wore out, the animal starved to death.
